Employees Donate School Supplies

August 30, 2011

Employees of American Solutions for Business have been busy collecting school supplies. Last Tuesday a group of individuals delivered the supplies to the Minnewaska Area Elementary School as a way to help students and to give back to the community. The drive was organized as a collaborative effort of the American Community Stewardship Team and the Fun Committee. Each month, the company focuses on a particular charitable cause and uses a variety of methods and volunteers to support that cause. American's upcoming September effort will include raising funds to adopt a family at Christmas; in October they will conduct an observance of military servicemen and women and November's focus will revolve around fund-raising efforts to prevent child abuse.

"Our employees know the importance of being involved in the communities in which we live," said Larry Zavadil, founder and CEO of American. "I'm pleased that we are able to reach out and give back to a community that has supported us throughout our 30 years in business."
