Novation, based in Irving, Texas, is the largest Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for the health care industry in the United States with over 30,000 health care facilities. Organizations receive discounted pricing for products and services purchased through Novation-endorsed vendors.
American Solutions for Business (ASB), based in Glenwood, Minnesota, is an industry leader in distribution of business forms/document printing, commercial printing, promotional materials, and document management technologies to customers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The company has over 500 sales representatives, over 200 employees and approximately 6,000 vendors, whose products and services are provided through ASB.
Novation represents the purchasing interests of VHA, Inc. and University HealthSystem Consortium members ranging from large hospitals to private physician practices. In 2003, those associated facilities purchased goods and services valued at $22.8 billion with approximately $1.5 billion purchased in those categories that American Solutions for Business has now been approved to provide.
