 |  | American Solutions for Business, headquartered in Glenwood, Minnesota turns 30 years old this year. Although its founder, Larry Zavadil, began writing orders in January of 1981, the actual incorporation date was February 17 of that year.
In 1982, Larry hired his first employee, a neighbor who agreed to help out with the growing paperwork on a part-time basis. She worked out of the office located in the Zavadil home. The first two sales associates to join the company are still part of today’s sales force: Dan McAnally of St. Cloud and Gary Skordahl of Willmar. American currently provides back office support for approximately 550 sales associates who sell a wide variety of products and services to 40,000+ customers nationwide. Approximately 200 individuals are employed at the home office. |
